Research begins in August 2016 and continues into September, then after the pitch, website creation and testing begins. It is important to test with various age groups to see if the website is suitable for all ages especially older people. Throughout early 2017 a second version and more testing will be carried out, then in August of that year marketing will begin. The primary target audience of this site is dog owners, therefore we will be partnering with local veterinary clinics and grooming companies as well as larger companies and pet stores such as Pets At Home. As there will be users on the site that do not own a dog, to appeal to them we will be carrying out online research and look at search results and other social media post to see which internet users are interested in dogs and dog walks.
The launch date is early April as this is the middle of Spring moving into Summer, when the weather is best in the UK and people are most likely to want to go out and walk their dogs.
